What is CTET or What is the full form of CTET ?

CTET full form is Central Teacher Eligibility Test. CTET exam  is a national level exam and conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Central  Teacher  Eligibility Test  conducts the exam twice in a year for all the applicant who wants  to make career in govt. Sector teaching job.

CTET Eligibility Criteria 2020 : Age Limit

CTET Eligibility Criteria 2020: Education Qualification

CTET Education Qualification for Primary  Teacher Of Class I-V

  • Passed with 50% marks in senior secondary and Diploma in elementary education.(or)
  • Passed with 50% marks in senior secondary and Diploma of two year in Elementary education with Regulation 2002 of NCTE.(or)
  • Passed senior secondary with 50 % marks atleast and with Bachelor degree in Elementary Education(B.El.ED)  in final year. (or)
  • Passed with minimum 50% in senior secondary and two years Diploma in Elementary Education.(or)
  • Qualified graduation degree or passed and Diploma in Elementary education ( whatever name known )of two years.

CTET  Qualification for Upper Primary Teacher Of Class V-VII

  • Graduation degree with discipline university or college.  And Diploma in Elementary Education of two years. (or)
  • Minimum 50% marks in bachelor’s degree and should have one year B.ED (Bachelor of Education).(or)
  • Minimum 50% marks in Graduation from any discipline. Bachelor in Education (B.ED) of 1 year must have.(or)
  • Passed with minimum 50% marks in senior secondary. He/She should  have Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.ED) of four years.(or)
  • Qualify senior secondary  with 50% .B.A/B.Sc.ED OR B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed applicant should appeared. (or)
  • Graduation with 50 % and one year B.ed should be passed.

CTET Eligibility Criteria for Reserved Category

  • Candidates belonging to reserved category ( SC/ST/OBC/PwD)the individual seats are not reserved.
  • After qualifying C tet Exam the relaxation of 5% is granted.

CTET Exam Pattern

The Exam Pattern of CTET comprise of two papers, Paper-I &Paper-II  contains Multiple choice questions (MCQ). The Exam is conducted in offline mode and duration of central teacher elibility test ( ctet) exam is 150 min.

Basically,  there are Five sections and each section have individual weight-age of marks. Total paper is of 150 Marks, 1 mark is granted for each correct marks. No Marks is deducted for wrong answer  ie. No negative marking is there in ct et exam.

  • E-challan receipt and confirmation page both should keep safe.

CTET Application Fee 2020

The CTET Application Fee 2020 varies with the category.Below table show the CTET Fee Structure of 2020.  Paper I & II fees are 1000 for general/ OBC but if you want to give both the paper then 1200 have to pay, similarly for SC/ST/Handicapped person.
